We’ve long admired the lush woodsy look and feel of pine straw mulch. Quite common in the south, it is virtually non-existent here in the northeast, except for the natural mulch beneath large, old white pines.

It’s expensive, but worth it because the look is amazing and is much easier to work with than wood mulch. Nor does it suffer from wood mulch problems such as mold and undesirable insects.
